If you've never had a great dog then either you have never had a dog at all or you are not that great of a person. I think great people can take any dog and make him or her a great dog in their own way. So, if you haven't had a great dog it is probably because you aren't that great of a person. 

I've met you, and that would be my guess. And trust me, it is an educated guess. I mean, just look at you.
