Some roads weren't meant to be traveled, but rather to be observed. You don't have to go down every road there is. You can't. You have to just look at some roads. Or watch other people go down roads that you won't or can't go down. And, if you're lucky, then the people going down some of those roads will be people you don't like. And if you're really, really lucky, the road they are on will never converge with the road you are on. Or, if the roads do converge, you won't reach the same intersections at the same time. Or there will be a red light holding them back while you pass. Or you will have tinted windows and they won't see you.
Another analogy could be railroad tracks. Or paths. Or stairways. Or hallways.
Or escalators.
Or elevator shafts.
