I believe this saying very, very much. I know people who actively avoid seeing paradise. I know people who actively pursue being unhappy.

It takes a lot of effort to be happy. 

I fail at happiness sometimes. I keep trying.
I fail at being kind sometimes. I keep trying.
I fail at forgiveness a lot of times. I mostly keep trying.
I failed at college biology. I kept trying.

Not really. I mean I kept trying, but I got a D- the first time. I didn't fail.
