Halloween

I love Halloween. The one time of year when everyone wears a mask, not just me.

I think that sometimes we wear masks, but other times people put masks on us. They don't know us and they project masks onto our selves that we would not choose for ourselves. 

Like when Erik went in that devil costume when we were little kids. Mom put that mask on him. I don't think he chose it. 

(pause)

Seriously. I went as an astronaut and they let him dress up as Satan! What was that even about?!

Now that I think about it, maybe there is nothing more "firstborn vs. second-born" than this.
