Prayers

I have never made but one prayer to God, a very short one:

'O Lord, make my enemies ridiculous.' And God granted it.

Neko is not praying here. She is trying to grasp, with her very sharp claws, something that she wants. Or maybe that is what prayer is to her.

She doesn't have those sharp claws any more. I think that was the answer to one of Ripley's prayers.
