Are you going to come quietly or do I have to use earplugs?

I once taught a class called, "The Power of Quiet."  I thought it was a good idea and I liked the curriculum I had planned.  What I failed to consider, however, is the fact that the students who would sign up for a class like that might not be super-active in terms of class discussion.
