Evening

To really understand the word evening, you have to break the word up into its two parts "even" - to be even and "ing" - to do the thing that comes before the ing in this word. So evening means to become even again. We all need to do that after the day is over. Because days throw you totally out of sorts. Evenings, though... evenings are when the evening happens.
