My best friend when I was a kid was Joel Hanson. Chris and the girls know him as "My best friend Joel Hanson." That is how I always refer to him.
I remember once hiding behind a snowdrift and throwing ice chunks and snowballs at cars. Then we hit one and the car circled back for us. We ran and hid under his snowmobile trailer.
I think that experience is one of many that helped prepare me for a career as a judicial affairs hearing officer.
