Disappointment

A few years ago we had the chance to decide what design would be on the back of our state quarter. I really REALLY wanted American Gothic on the back. It is set in Iowa and done by an Iowa artist. Plus, it would have made our quarter the coolest one of all.

But no.

Instead, Grant Wood's painting "Arbor Day" was chosen. Arbor Day was founded in Nebraska.

I am still disappointed, but I certainly hope to find compensation soon.
