The need to be right is the sign of a vulgar mind.

I think that when you walk around saying that you need "a sign" to tell you what to do about a given situation, they're easy enough to find. The problem is most of them will tell you not to do whatever it is you were hoping to do (Yield, Stop, Caution) or compromise (Merge, Cross Traffic Does Not Stop). If you already know you want to do something, just do it and don't blame it on the "signs." There aren't that many signs out there that tell us "go ahead and do that ignorant thing you wanted to do."
But we could make some.
