I believe that a dog is man's best friend. I don't believe that man is a dog's best friend. I think a dog's best friend is another dog because dogs are almost everyone's best friend. Except for cats. And squirrels. And chicken. Especially fried chicken. And fire hydrants. And trees. And light poles. But if you think about fire hydrants and trees and light poles those are just places where dogs leave messages for other dogs - like a note from a friend. Thus dogs are a dog's best friend.
