Adult children tend to be more focused on safety, and their parents tend to be more focused on living a meaningful life.

Young children seem to be more focused on living a meaningful day (maybe meaningful lives if they are children that think in grander terms) and their parents are more focused on safety. So, basically that middle part where you are living most of your life you aren't really focused on living a meaningful life. 

I mean, not YOU specifically. Just you meaning people in general. I don't know your life. I hope it is meaningful if that's what you're going for, though. And safe, I guess. It can probably be both.

Anyway, I'm not the boss of you.
