Ignoring

I was exchanging email with a colleague and hadn't heard anything back for a while.  I just assumed she was busy.  Though assuming is dangerous as the old saying goes, "Assuming makes a mess out of things." 

 

Anyway, she eventually wrote back and assured me she was not ignoring me.  She just had not had a chance to find the information I had requested.

 

I responded, "No problem.  And I never feel ignored.  Except when people close their blinds when I'm trying to look in.  But usually after that the police show up, and I don't feel ignored again for a while."
