Up is definitely important. That said, I think it is important to also look down. To look at the experiences that provided you the foundation and the footing so you can move up. The supporters and the motivators and those who came before. Those who inspired you to even take the risk of looking up.

Also you want to look down so you don't step in dog poop. Ultimately we all probably step in poop at some point. But if we are climbing up with poop on our shoes... Well, maybe that just keeps us humble.

But if you climb up with poop on your shoes, you are going to get some of that on the people who follow. Or maybe you won't have any followers at all.

So remember to wipe your feet.
