Jesus taught us to pray, "Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us," not forgive us and smite those bastards who hurt us.

- - - - -I'm glad that's not what Jesus taught us because while I try to be a good person and make good choices, I don't doubt for a second that I'd have been smote by now. Or maybe others would have just been smitten by me. Probably the latter.
