It's amazing to me how beauty and color and miracles peek out at us all the time.  We miss most of them because we aren't paying attention.  We're on our machines or in our heads.  Strangely enough, when we are on our machines we are probably liking and sharing the miracles other people have noticed.  And when we are in our heads we are probably dreaming of the exact miracles we are failing to notice.

 

We're bad at paying attention.  We certainly pay a larger price for not paying attention than what it costs to pay attention.

 

Why is that?
