An idealist is one who, on noticing that a rose smells better than a cabbage, concludes that it makes a better soup.

I think that maybe a person named Rose might make a better soup than someone named Cabbage. Rose is kind of a grandma name and grandmas make good soups. Cabbage is kind of a nickname. If someone is still going by a nickname, she might not be old enough to make a good soup.
Why do you have to be old to make good soup? Because you have to be patient. You have to not be about immediate gratification. Soup takes time. It's not like you can just dump stuff out of a can, add a little water and throw it in the microwave and have soup.
Wait.
What was I talking about?
