The landfill is where I figured out one of my main philosophies -- that everybody alive is basically in the process of changing out their old stuff for different stuff. Day in, day out.

For some people, this is true of relationships, too. Trading partners or friends. Constantly trying to "upgrade" for better people. I don't think you should treat people like things.
