Zoos

Maddie wrote a letter to the editor for a project in school. It voiced her opposition to zoos. It started with a quote, gave her rationale and provided evidence to back her claim that zoos are bad.

We were driving around discussing it. When we were done, things were quiet for a little bit. Then, when whatever song was on the radio finished, Elizabeth spoke. "You know," she began, "I think that Ames should get a zoo. It would be a good tourist attraction and would bring money to Ames."

It must be really difficult to be Elizabeth Fowler's sister.
