- - - - -Fungi are the ghosts of the plant world. Living, but drawing on the death of others. When a person dies, their ghost takes up residence in the world. Except we can't always see ghosts, like we can mushrooms.
However, when a person dies, if left out in nature, a person might sprout mushrooms, too. Ih which case fungi are the fungi of the human world, too.
Think about that the next time you order mushrooms on your pizza.
