Treasure

It really takes growing up to treasure the specialness of being different.

One time when I was a kid, I got in trouble for playing in the barn at my grandpa and grandma's house. Allegedly it was because if I had fallen through the floor of the corncrib in that barn where I was playing, I would have landed on the concrete floor several feet below and been hurt. 

I think I got in trouble because there was treasure in the barn they didn't want me to find.

(pause)

Man, I wish I had that treasure.

(pause)

Of course, maybe the real treasure is the memory of that day.
