Leslie and I had Chinese food one time before she finished her Ph.D. When she opened her fortune, Leslie said, "It says ' 'You're a loser and you'll never finish your dissertation.'"

She was not telling the truth. The fortune didn't say that and she did finish her dissertation.

And so far as I know, while she may have invited fortune to hang out, I'm not sure she ever invited it to spend any time "loittering."
