We have been trying to teach the girls to be independent and take care of themselves. I don't know why Chris thinks that's so important, but it seems to matter to her. Here is a conversation at our house this week:


Michelle: Elizabeth, did you take off your mascara last night?

Elizabeth: I took it off my bottom lashes.

Michelle: No makeup for a week, then.

Elizabeth: (sighing) I know... I know...

Michelle: I'm serious.

Elizabeth: I know you're serious. I can see the serious on your face.
