Today is Chris' birthday. I won't say how old she is, but she is younger than 10 in dog years.
Every year, Chris celebrates by receiving a call from her parents. At some point in the conversation she says, "Do you remember back [however many] years ago today when all your dreams came true?
Funny ... I get a same phone call from my mother but she reminds me that she didn't like me (or my father) very much because I put her through 36 hours of labor. Sometimes I remind her of that, but she usually reminds me of that.
