An old bobber in the grass is a sign of fishing trips past.  A a warning to worms about fishing trips in the future.  I bet the teenage worms dare each other to go up and touch the bobber.  I bet they don't "double dog dare" each other, though.  Unless they're roundworms, tapeworms, hookworms, whip worms or heartworms.
