- - - - -If you were being chased by a robot and somehow managed to make the legs stop working, that is fine, but don't forget about its laser eyes and extendo-arms. A robot without legs is still lethal. A spider without legs, less so. But who would take the time to remove all of a spider's legs? That's just messed up. Oh, and unless it's a robot spider then the laser eyes might still be in effect. And in the case of a spider, we're talking about up to 8 eyes which is a lot of lasers. Oh, but there are some spiders that have no eyes. In which case the spider robot laser eye fear would not be so significant.
