Language has power.  The words we choose to use or the words we never use matter.  We need to be careful.  And that is not a selfless act.  The impact matters for everyone.

I heard once that the words you put out are not only received by other people, but they boomerang back at you, as well.  That's why I try to use mostly small words.  Because I am not sure how good I am at catching boomerangs and I'd rather get whapped with something small.
