If you accidentally run your cat through the washer on the heavy duty cycle, if she survives, when you go to visit your cat at the vet or animal hospital or farm where you board your dog, a good line when you pet her is, "Oh -- you're so soft!"
However, I do not recommend washing a cat in a washing machine.
