Bridge

True teachers are those who use themselves as bridges over 

which they invite their students to cross; then, having 

facilitated their crossing, joyfully collapse, encouraging

Are teachers bridges or tunnels?  Do they help us cross over gaps in knowledge?  Do they get us over chasms?  Or maybe do they help us through things - through mountains of ideas and information.  Through good research and bad?

Or are they people?  I think mostly they are people.
