Language

Words are the leaves of the tree of language, of which, if some fall away, a new success takes their place.

I like words and language.  I like how words can mean different things in different settings.  Or we can play with them.  Or we can play Words with Friends.

I love eavesdropping on other peoples' words.  Sometimes though, when you come in part way through the conversation, you can make mistakes about what people are really saying or meaning.  Maybe that's the fun of it, though.  For example, Leslie shared this conversation she eavesdropped on --

Woman:  It's so little.  I used to think it was so big.

Man: (grumbles something)

Woman:  It looked so big in fourth grade.

Turns out she was talking about their grade school auditorium.  (pause) Or so she said.
