I figured when I was writing to Mom, I might as well be honest about the fact that I already had these postcards and that that was what she was getting.
In a way it's sort of a correspondence revenge tactic for her saying, "This is what I made for dinner. It's what you're getting. You'll like it. If you don't like it, you'll eat it anyway. And then you'll say that you like it. And then I'll make it again tomorrow to punish you for lying to me."
(pause)
Okay, my mom never really said some of that to me.
But that's how it felt on my heart, Mom.
