If you think about the idea of brightness being happiness... Well, you don't notice a candle as much on a bright sunny day. When things are good, you don't always notice the goodness of others. But when things are dark, you notice a candle. When things are bad, you notice goodness.
Some people might think this is my way of validating pyromania. But those people are mistaken. And also, they are pyromaniacs.
