I like Halloween.  I like to see what costumes people wear.  I think it is a holiday that allows people to be more creative in their day than most other days permit.  We excuse one another and let ourselves express whom we want to be, wish to be, whatever.  We allow it visibly in almost all social contexts. 

Maybe this year, I will assume everyone is wearing a costume - even if I can't tell for sure.  I can use it as a conversation starter.  I think maybe this year I will walk around during the Halloween season and just say to everyone, "Oh, are you going as 'crazy cat lady' this year?"
