Love

Love is like a friendship caught on fire.  In the beginning a flame, very pretty, often hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering.  As love grows older, our hearts mature and our love becomes as coals, deep burning and unquenchable.

I think when you are choosing someone to be in love with, you should choose someone who is patient and kind and understanding.  There are going to be times when you are difficult and you want someone who will wait that out with you.  There are going to be times when you are emotional or irrational or not very conversational.  It will take patience to put up with you through that.

 

There will be other times that you might be hyper or overly optimistic or creative in ways that are not always socially appreciated or acceptable.  You want someone who can balance you in those moments.  Balance you without tempering your enthusiasm.

 

And there will be other times you're just pretty unbearable.
